In-person Absentee Voting for the August 13 Partisan Primary Election takes place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Sussex Civic Center from July 30 to August 9.
If you wish to receive an absentee ballot by mail, make your request online at My Vote WI or submit a written application with a copy of your photo ID to the Village Clerk no later than 5 p.m. on the Thursday before the election (August 8). You can submit your request via fax, email, or US Postal Service.
- Return ballots must be mailed or hand delivered to Village Clerk employees at the Civic Center during regular business hours and before 8:00pm on election day.
- Ballots are no longer accepted through the drop box.
- You must return your own ballot and may not turn in a ballot for others except in the following circumstance:
- Any Wisconsin voter who requires assistance with mailing or delivering their absentee ballot because of a disability is permitted to receive assistance by a person of the voter's choice (other than the voter's employer or agent of that employer or officer or agent of the voter's union). This includes having a third-party return the voter's absentee ballot to the clerk in person or through the mail.
