The Public Works Committee has the duty, under the direction of the Village Board, to superintend the construction and maintenance of streets, alleys, sidewalks, gutters, storm sewers, and other public works projects.
The Committee reviews and makes recommendations to the Village Board on all transportation related topics including bus service, taxis, bicycles and all forms of public and/or mass transit service, amendments or other revisions of the official map of the Village, and the general operation of all municipal utilities.
Members

Meetings
Meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Room at the Civic Center (N64W23760 Main Street)

The Public Works Committee is a creation of the Village Board under Section 2.08 of the Sussex Municipal Code. The
Public Works Committee’s actions include mostly legislative procedures.
