The Public Safety and Welfare Committee guides public safety policy decisions of the Community. The Committee reviews and recommends to the Village Board the various policy matters that impact the Village’s public safety services and programs. It plays an important role on public safety initiatives and contract oversight as well.

Members

The Public Safety and Welfare Committee consists of three members of the Village Board and one Sussex Citizen. The citizen member serves a two-year term. Meetings

Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of every even month at 6:00 p.m. at the Civic Center - N64W23760 Main Street.

Statutory Authority

The Public Safety and Welfare Committee is a creation of the Village Board under section 2.08 of the Sussex Municipal Code. The Committee's actions include mostly legislative procedures.
