Thank you for your interest in choosing the Village of Sussex for your Eagle Scout or Gold Award Leadership Service Project!

The Village of Sussex has several locations for projects including parks, waterways, nature preserves, and several other properties. Due to the high volume of project requests received, Village staff require additional information before meeting and approving any project.

Project options include the following categories:

• Trail Improvements/Sign Installation
• Plantings
• Building Wildlife Shelters (e.g. bird box, bat house, etc.)
• Recreational Enhancements
• Storm Drain Stenciling
• Public Art

To get started with your project request, please apply online.

Scouts may be responsible for obtaining some or all of the materials necessary for the project. The Village of Sussex may be able to provide some tools, equipment and labor necessary to aide in the completion of the project. These details and any others will be discussed if and when a project is approved. A site visit with Village staff will be required after project approval, and before starting any work.
